Back to Basics Swim 23 is a visual study in simplicity, nostalgia, and natural beauty. Set in a serene English country-house garden, the story strips swimwear imagery back to its essentials: sunlight, greenery, water, and clean, uncomplicated silhouettes.
The concept embraces an elevated minimalism, highlighting timeless swim cuts against the softness of rural British landscapes. The garden becomes both a backdrop and a character—reflective ponds, wild grass, hedgerows, and soft summer light create a calm, almost nostalgic world where the models feel at ease, grounded, and connected to nature.
By pairing bold colour-blocked swimwear with a quiet, pastoral setting, the shoot plays with contrast: modern lines vs. heritage landscapes, vibrant hues vs. gentle greens, polished styling vs. organic surroundings. The result is a campaign that feels editorial yet accessible, clean but warm, directional yet familiar.
This project reflects a desire to return to the fundamentals of summer: fresh air, sun-kissed skin, simple shapes, and an uncomplicated sense of freedom.
It’s an invitation to slow down, breathe out, and rediscover beauty in its purest form.
